Breathwork Facilitator Training: The Professional Groove

The Body of Breath follows the Breathwork Alliance’s guidelines and standards for the 400 hour professional breathworker certification. Complete all requirements within a 2 years training and professional mentorship experience with us and explore the modern breathwork practice that includes education in the following concepts and paths.

The Cycle Schedule:

Classes are scheduled throughout the 12 week cycle at intervals on Saturday/Sunday afternoons (3-5pm), Mondays at 12:30-2pm and Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm all in ET.

All calls will be recorded and uploaded to a new platform on The Body of Breath’s Circle App.

Monday Calls (12:30-2pm ET) are our Mentorship Support Calls with focus on Q&A of teaching practice with theory and practical applications. Case studies will be offered and emphasis will be placed on expanding critical thinking pathways within the “how’s” and “why’s” of the delivery options of Breathwork Adaptation and Techniques. We will welcome Dr. Jackie Ang to some of the calls in this cycle on Mondays.

We will meet the following 7 Mondays: March 18, March 25, April 8, April 22, May 6, May 20, June 3.

Wednesday Class Design and Delivery (6:30-8:30pm ET) will be classes designed with a theme integrated throughout the practice, and opened to outside registration from 7-8:15pm for students who wish to drop in for a single class. A part of your homework outside of the class will be to create a journal entry and rewatch the class and take notes on the class design, adaptation and cuing offered during the class itself. Themes include: Introduction to breathwork and creating a personal practice, Introduction to the Multidimensional Self through the Thread of Breath, Movement Inquiry and Unlocking the Spine with breath and Somatic Movement, Nervous System Regulation, Introduction to the Ancestral Grooves, and Learning to Nurture the Self. Additional Class Themes will be decided by the group and collectively designed.

We will meet the following 7 Wednesdays: March 27, April 3, April 17, April 24, May 8, May 15, May 29.

Saturday and Sunday Professional Groove Sessions. (3-5pm ET) Classes will include special topics and professional development strategy, theory and practice teaching, mentorship and Advanced and Integrated Breathwork Practices.

We will meet the following (7) Saturday/Sundays: March 16, 17, April 6,7, Sat Apr 27, Sat May 11, Sun June 2.

Closing Circle is Sat June 8 (3-5pm ET)

  • Create balance and nervous system regulation through adaptive breathing methods.
  • Meeting life and all it encompasses through the lens of tantric
    philosophy.
  • Explore the imprints and wisdom of the physical body through somatic movement inquiry.
  • Understand the role of breathwork and adaptation of the practice in repatterning trauma imprints.
  • Experience deep presence through practice of awareness tracking through the multidimensional 5 body map.
  • Cultivate a contemplative practice through therapeutic journaling and expressive arts.
  • Dive into an inquiry of the energetic body’s developmental and integrative imprints.
  • Support your intentional actions and energetic repatterning through accountability support.
  • Explore the process of shadow work and re-align with your true nature that holds possibility for alignment with your core values.
  • Realize that your healing has roots in your ancestral lineage. Dive into the research in epigenetics and understand how to cut the long-standing patterns may have begun in other points in your genetic timeline.
  • Learn to flow through your daily life with a constant thread of incorporating the breath and self care as a ritual.
  • Practice observation and inquiry as tools to support your personal and professional practices.


Professional Development and Support include…

  • Understand and deliver breathwork in a progressive experience that honors the scope of your practice.
  • Receive support to refine your skills as a breathwork facilitator with present time mentorship.
  • Develop your 1:1 offerings, small group sessions and online experiences.
  • Experience mentorship support with a dialogue encompassing trauma sensitivity while supporting yourself and others in the sessions.
  • Homework and accountability practices will be offered to support you in developing a niche professional offering that aligns with your intentions.
  • Choose your projects that fit for your life, community and curiosity. We will hold space for you to find confidence and create from what feels authentic to you.
  • Engage in resonance content creation approaches and utilize your chosen formats to get the word out to those who are seeking your gifts and service.
  • Be a part of the discussion of ethics and scope of practice inquiry so that you understand how to manage and adapt yourself in challenging situations both in and out of your professional offerings.

Pre-Training Requirements

Interview with Ashley upon completion of the Breathwork Facilitator Application. Completion of a Foundations level program either with The Body of Breath or a foundations level training similar in scope. Commit to a consistent personal practice for duration of the professional program.
