The Valle Crucis Retreat 2027 invites you to step away from the rush of daily life and return to what is essential. Over four days, we gather in sacred community for breathwork, live music, movement, and connection with nature—a North Carolina retreat designed for restoration, remembrance, and renewal.

What Awaits You at the Valle Crucis Retreat 2027...

At the heart of Valle Crucis Retreat 2027
is the breath — the thread that weaves us together in presence and belonging. Each day includes guided breathwork sessions, somatic practices, and community circles, creating a supportive space to release, restore, and remember who you are.

Breathwork & Community

Music carries us deeper into connection. With Colin Allured and friends, evenings open into sound journeys, live performance, and the uplifting joy of Mantra Dance — a movement experience blending rhythm, sacred sound, and celebration.

The land itself is part of the retreat. Valle Crucis offers waterfalls, winding rivers, and quiet mountain trails that invite reflection and renewal. Time in nature becomes both teacher and healer, reminding us to return to our natural rhythms.

Rest & Nature Renewal

Some of the most memorable moments unfold in the simple rhythm of porch time — rocking chairs, mountain breezes, and conversations that stretch long into the evening. The porch becomes another circle of connection, where stories are shared and friendships deepen.

The retreat begins before we arrive. The Living Circle is the thread that holds us across the months leading into Valle Crucis. Through seasonal practices, guided pauses, and shared breaths, we stay connected in subtle yet powerful ways — reminding each other that the circle is alive even when we are apart.

This is not another program or course to keep up with. It is a rhythm of presence that you can lean into throughout the year. Sometimes it may be a short recorded practice, a live online circle, or a gentle prompt to pause and breathe with the season. Other times, it may simply be the quiet knowing that others are walking the same path alongside you.

By the time we gather in Valle Crucis in August 2027, the container is already vibrant — infused with the trust, connection, and rhythm we’ve carried together through the seasons. The Living Circle ensures that the retreat is not a single event, but part of a living, breathing journey of community and renewal.

Kelly Berkley receiving her Body of Breath certificate.

"My breathwork mentor has been the kind of mentor and teacher I’ve always wanted but didn’t think existed. The kind I always imagined a real mentor was: someone that you really work alongside like an apprenticeship. Someone that knows you well and where your challenge areas are from the close contact and oversight that they have of you. Someone that cares about you and your growth. Someone that supports you when you need to be nudged or met where you’re at. Someone that really shows you the ropes in a way that you can’t get from a text book or lecture. You know, how mentorship’s and apprenticeships must have looked like in the old days and in tribes 🙂."

"In my search for eternal truth, she was the first to hold me with quiet power. In every session, her hands feel woven from threads of another dimension — light like breath, steady like earth. There is no fear in journeying through the breath with Ashley, because her presence invokes a deep-rooted safety, the kind that cannot be taught — only embodied."

"My relationship to myself has shifted through my work with Ashley and that in turn has shifted other relationships in my life. I see things through a different lens. I'm able to not be so reactionary and if I am, I can sit and observe myself later. I've been able to access more forgiveness for myself and for others in that process. It's helped me move stagnant and unserving energy in my body that I might not have found the tools to deal with otherwise. The work gave me the tools to access these points, realizations, emotions, physical forms that I have built up externally and emotional walls that I have built internally that were keeping me from my highest potential. She taught me to teach myself through movement, breath, silence, reflection, slowing down......It's been life changing."
